After an emergency meeting, South Korea's finance ministry will restrict leveraged-ETF trading and raise related trading costs to curb speculation. It will maintain a 24-hour stock-market monitoring system, seek legal authority to enact emergency market-stabilization measures, strengthen oversight of leveraged-ETF trades, limit retail investors' exposure, and immediately impose additional rules on single-stock leveraged ETFs.
