Pakistani police said on the evening of the 29th local time a checkpoint in
Hangu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province was attacked. At least seven people
were killed and 22 injured; police said they shot dead eight attackers and
wounded six, bringing total fatalities to 15. Clearance operations are ongoing.
No group has claimed responsibility.
