Cooper drafted a punitive air campaign of up to two weeks; after Iran’s missile attack on Tuesday Trump has pledged retaliation but is weighing approval of Cooper’s 10–14 day intensive strikes aimed at crippling Iran’s missile capability — a plan the military says would reduce U.S. reliance on defensive munitions but comes amid warnings that air‑defense ammunition stocks are running low — versus narrower strikes to preserve diplomatic space.
