Capital Economics senior Asia economist Gareth Leather said in a report most Asian economies are expected to register robust growth in 2026 despite rising oil prices linked to the Middle East conflict. Regional GDP growth has held up and electronics exports are up more than 50% YoY; this momentum may persist in the near term and strong demand for AI-related products should help offset the oil-price drag.
