MOFCOM spokesman He Yadong told a regular briefing on the 30th that, after recent intensive talks, both sides at the first China‑EU trade and investment consultation agreed on positioning China and the EU as "stable, balanced key trade partners" and have tentatively set the mechanism's second session for this autumn. Over the past month China has been implementing the first meeting's follow‑up, coordinating domestically and holding high‑frequency, multi‑level external consultations. Bilateral teams have held more than 20 meetings and four working groups have conducted in‑depth technical exchanges on each side's trade and economic concerns. China said it will continue high‑frequency communication to seek practical solutions and promote balanced, forward development of China‑EU trade to maintain a stable key trade partnership.
