The Baltic Dry Index rose 41 points (1.6%) to 2,673 on Thursday, ending a
three-session decline and registering its first increase since July 24 after
hitting a one-month low on Wednesday. Capesize index gained 100 points (2.5%) to
4,167, its first rise after three straight sessions of falls; capesize daily
Earnings increased $908 to $34,292. Panamax index climbed 45 points (2.3%) to
2,040, its highest since July 24; panamax daily earnings rose $410 to $18,363.
Supramax index fell 18 points (1.1%) to 1,610, the lowest level since June 9.
