The Russian government said on July 30 it will extend a ban on exports of gasoline, diesel, marine fuel and light diesel for six months, effective Aug 1, 2026–Jan 31, 2027, citing moves to stabilize the domestic fuel market. Under new rules, from Sept 1 fuel producers will be allowed to export diesel, marine fuel and light diesel directly, exempting those flows from the ban.
