US CENTCOM said Iranian state media have circulated three false claims from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. First, CENTCOM rejected the IRGC assertion that freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz is inherently dangerous, saying the primary threat to commercial vessels and civilian crews comes from IRGC threats and attempted attacks on ships. Second, CENTCOM said recent Iranian strikes did not destroy or damage any US aircraft — all missiles and drones were intercepted or failed to reach their targets — countering IRGC claims it shot down three US F‑35s and three other aircraft. Third, CENTCOM said the commercial tanker M/T Nora did not breach the US blockade; more than 20 US warships, hundreds of aircraft and thousands of personnel remain on high alert and continue to enforce the blockade.
