UK Prime Minister Burnham told US President Trump the UK will not "ignore" North
Sea resources, signaling government support for new oil and gas drilling.
Officials are reportedly studying proposals including approval of the Jackdaw
and Rosebank offshore Scotland developments and expanded tie-back projects using
existing facilities. Trump said Burnham told him the UK would "open up" the
North Sea and called the move "a very good thing," adding that if done
Reasonably it could make the country wealthier.
