On the 30th, Yemen’s Houthi movement denied involvement in a fire aboard an LNG
carrier and a storage vessel at Egypt’s Damietta port, the Houthi-controlled
Saba news agency quoted a Houthi source as saying. The source called reports
that Houthis attacked the ships “without factual basis,” said Houthi military
action is directed only at Saudi Arabia, and asserted there is “no reason for
concern” over Red Sea navigation safety.
