A Wall Street Journal survey of 11 economists shows South Korea’s July export
growth likely to slow to a median 59.5% YoY, down from a revised 70.7% in June,
driven partly by fewer working days. Imports are forecast to rise 26.3% YoY,
implying a $29.48 bln trade surplus for July. Economists say robust memory-chip
shipments should sustain overall export momentum despite the calendar effect.
Official trade data are due Saturday.
