In a milder scenario the Bank expects inflation to fall below 2% by Q3 next year; in an adverse scenario its model projects inflation could rise above 4% in early next year and remain above 2% through 2029. July 30, 2026 — PBOC Governor Pan met Kazakhstan central bank Governor Suleimanov and Financial Market Regulation and Development Agency head Abelkasemova to exchange views on global economic and financial conditions and bilateral financial cooperation. PBOC Vice Governor Xuan Changneng attended. Prior to the meeting Pan and Suleimanov signed a renewal of the bilateral local-currency swap agreement, aimed at deepening monetary and financial cooperation, facilitating bilateral trade and investment settlement, and supporting financial market stability.
