On July 31 at a cabinet meeting, President Trump told reporters the US has not
agreed to allow Ukraine to produce Patriot air‑defense interceptors and said
Washington must be very careful about permitting other countries to manufacture
such weapons. On July 28 Trump met Ukrainian President Zelenskiy at the White
House; Zelenskiy subsequently said Trump had agreed to grant Ukraine a
production license for Patriot interceptors.
