Bloomberg reported the Pentagon's $67 emergency supplemental for this fiscal year includes just over $10 bln to buy interceptors and related munitions. The draft submitted to the House and Senate defense committees lists $5.75 bln for THAAD, $5.57 bln for Patriot missiles, $1.9 bln for Standard-6 missiles, $1.3 bln for Tomahawk cruise missiles and $692 mln for precision-strike missiles first used in strikes on Iran. Lawmakers, Pentagon officials and analysts say U.S. weapons stocks are at dangerously low levels after U.S. strikes on Iran and repeated interceptions of drones and missiles targeting U.S. bases in the Middle East.
