Aug 1 — The Office of the National Disaster Reduction and Relief Commission and
the Ministry of Emergency Management sent teams to Jilin and Heilongjiang to
assess recent rain- and flood-related damage and assist local rescue operations.
In coordination with the State Grain and Material Reserves Administration, they
allocated 11,000 central relief items — blankets, bedding and household
emergency kits — to support resettlement and aid for affected residents.
