Iran foreign ministry spokesman BAGHAEI said the Strait of Hormuz "will never
revert to pre-war status." He said talks with Oman are bilateral and concern
mechanisms to protect each side's interests, not the opening or closing of the
waterway. BAGHAEI blamed the strait's closure on "US sabotage and an American
maritime blockade," and said Iran will act according to national interests and
will not be swayed by threats or media pressure.
