CSRC chairman Wu Qing, speaking at the RMB government bond futures listing ceremony in Hong Kong, said Hong Kong remains a bridgehead for mainland China financial institutions and that the regulator will support more qualified securities and fund firms to operate and list in Hong Kong. He said the CSRC is studying expansion of mutual recognition of securities and futures professional qualifications between the mainland and Hong Kong to facilitate cross-border employment. The CSRC will deepen regulatory cooperation with Hong Kong on issuance and listings, intermediaries and enforcement, improve risk monitoring and information sharing, and strengthen coordinated surveillance of cross-border capital flows to guard against systemic risk.
