The office of the National Disaster Reduction and Relief Committee and the
Ministry of Emergency Management dispatched a working group to inspect flood
damage in Shaanxi amid a new round of persistent heavy rainfall. In coordination
with the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, they allocated
65,000 central relief items — tents, folding beds, blankets and household items
emergency kits — to support rescue operations, evacuation and temporary
resettlement of affected residents.
