President Trump said in an interview that Iran will never be allowed to obtain
nuclear weapons, claiming they currently cannot and that this will be formally
confirmed. He warned the Strait of Hormuz will "reopen soon" or Iran will be
struck "very severely." Trump said the US had prepared "a massive attack, the
largest since WWII" but Iran called asking to negotiate. "If they back out
again, they will be severely hit," he said, adding US actions have already
"very, very" hurt Iran but a "real blow" has not yet been delivered and he hoped
it would not be necessary.
