Al Jazeera, citing Iranian media and an informed Iranian official, said US
intervention and threats of military action, including threats from Trump, are
the main reasons an Iran–Oman agreement on the Strait of Hormuz has been
delayed. The official said the deal will remain postponed while US intervention
and threats of military attack persist and that Iran will not conclude any
agreement under threat.
