At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts rose, with platinum up over 9%, palladium up over 8%, silver up over 7%, urea, coking coal, and gold up over 3%, and lead and lithium carbonate up over 2%. On the downside, container shipping to Europe fell over 9%, ethylene glycol (EG) fell over 6%, SC crude oil fell nearly 6%, benzene fell over 5%, styrene (EB) fell nearly 5%, and bottled chips, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and propylene fell over 4%.
