Korea Exchange data published Aug. 4 show that excluding leveraged and inverse products, eight of the ten worst-performing domestic ETFs in July were semiconductor-related. SOL AI Semiconductor TOP2 Plus led losses, down 38.15% in July; ACE K Semiconductor TOP2+ fell 36.25%; SOL Semiconductor Front‑End Process dropped 35.97%. ETFs with overseas semiconductor holdings also posted large declines. Analysts cite sharp falls in US semiconductor stocks and growing concern the global semiconductor cycle may have peaked as the proximate driver of sector-wide weakness. The remaining two ETFs in the bottom ten were aerospace plays — KODEX US Aerospace down 37.81% and TIGER US Space Technology down 35.96% — both holding SpaceX as their largest position.

Chinese crude-related futures most-active contracts fell sharply. Shanghai crude (SC) down 4.04% at 515.3 yuan/bbl. Low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) down 3.26% at 4,488 yuan/ton. Fuel oil down 3.10% at 3,350 yuan/ton. Asphalt down 1.71% at 4,074 yuan/ton.
