On Aug 4 (Tue) the Baltic Dry Index (BDI) climbed for a fourth consecutive session, gaining 93 points (+3.3%) to 2,936, its highest level since July 14. The Capesize index (BCI) rose 214 points (+4.7%) to 4,778, the strongest since June 5; Capesize daily earnings increased $1,939 to $39,831 per day. The Panamax index (BPI) added 52 points (+2.4%) to 2,187, the highest since July 20; Panamax daily earnings rose $474 to $19,686 per day. The Supramax index (BSI) was up 3 points (+0.19%) at 1,613, while the Handy index (BHSI) slipped 3 points to 881.
