MOFCOM announced retaliatory measures in response to recent US FCC actions and
DHS listings under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, including: tighter
export controls on drones and related key components and technologies to the
United States; suspension of Chinese mandatory product certification programs'
use of US certification bodies for factory follow-up inspections; designation of
US compliance-testing firms on a countermeasures list; a foreign-trade national
security investigation into imported printers, photocopiers and office
equipment; and the addition of six US entities to a Chinese countermeasures
list.
