Guangdong power grid reported July electricity consumption reached 100.8 bln
kWh, the first Chinese province to top 100 bln kWh in a single month. Jan–Jul
cumulative use was 572.3 bln kWh, up 7.67% YoY. Industrial demand was the main
driver: secondary-sector consumption totaled 328.4 bln kWh, +7.84% YoY.
High‑tech and equipment manufacturing power use rose 8.77% YoY; by subsector,
auto manufacturing +18.32%, special equipment +14.48%, and
computer/communications/other electronics +10.51%, signaling strength continued
in high-end manufacturing.
