The Baltic Dry Index rose for a fifth session, up 127 points (+4.3%) to 3,063 —
its highest level since June 3. The Capesize index (BCI) jumped 316 points
(+6.6%) to 5,094, also a June 3 high; Capesize average daily earnings rose
$2,867 to $42,698. The Panamax index (BPI) gained 49 points (+2.2%) to 2,236,
its highest since July 17; Panamax average daily earnings increased $442 to
$20,128. The Supramax index (BSI) fell 1 point (0.06%) to 1,612. The Handysize
index (BHSI) slipped 2 points to 879.
