Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said China is open to strengthening dialogue
and communication with U.S. law enforcement and is willing to continue
law‑enforcement cooperation on the basis of equality, respect and reciprocity.
His remarks followed FBI Director Patel’s comment on the 5th that he hopes to
cooperate with China and Russia to combat transnational crime and that the U.S.
and China conducted joint arrests and personnel exchanges over the past year;
Lin said specific details should be referred to the competent authorities.
