President Trump posted on social media he is very satisfied with Defense
Secretary Hegseth’s performance, saying Hegseth is highly respected in the
military and has delivered major changes including removing diversity, equity
and inclusion policies and raising enlistment to historic levels. Trump said US
actions have weakened Iran and are intended to prevent it ever acquiring nuclear
weapons, and accused the Washington Post of originating the “rumor” and
publishing false reporting.
