Yemeni government sources said on Aug 6 Houthi forces attacked army camps in
Marib and Hadramawt provinces, killing at least 30 government soldiers; the
death toll may rise. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree issued a video statement
saying missile and drone strikes hit sites he described as Saudi military
deployments across both provinces, and claimed hundreds of pro‑Saudi fighters
were killed or wounded and that camps, weapons depots and vehicles were
destroyed.
