At the midday close, most main contracts on China’s futures exchanges were higher. SHFE gold jumped over 3%; coke rose nearly 3%; iron ore, SHFE silver and red dates gained more than 2%; live hogs and eggs were up about 2%; fuel oil climbed over 1%.

On the downside, SHFE nickel, propylene and methanol fell more than 2%; polypropylene monthly-average, stainless steel, polypropylene and LPG dropped over 1%.
