At midday close, China’s main futures contracts were mostly higher. Ethylene
glycol (EG) led gains, up more than 5%; Shanghai crude (SC) rose over 4%. Fuel
oil, benzene, synthetic rubber, cooking coal and PET bottle-grade chips advanced
over 3%; polysilicon gained nearly 3%. Decliners included fiberboard, down more
than 1%, and lithium carbonate, down about 1%.
