According to US media reports, the Republican Party plans to use its first-ever midterm election convention in Dallas to launch a full-scale offensive targeting prime-time television broadcasts. The core argument is that the Democratic Party has been hijacked by its radical left. With President Trump's approval rating plummeting to the 30% range and the ongoing war in Iraq continuing to drag down the economy, the Republican Party does not want the November 3rd midterm election to be merely a "referendum on President Trump's performance." The Republican Party is actually planning a campaign strategy of "but they're worse," targeting the rising left wing of the Democratic Party and socialist tendencies. At its midterm election convention on September 9-10 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, the Republican Party will repeatedly showcase progressive politicians and activists. The Republican team has spent months collecting video footage of Democratic figures, including left-wing commentator Hassan Peake and Texas Senate candidate James Tallarico, and plans to play this content during the convention to portray the Democratic Party as "out of the mainstream." "The video archive is virtually endless," said one convention organizer. Hassan Peake is a prominent left-wing American political commentator with a large following among young people on platforms like Twitch and YouTube. Peake's biggest controversy lies in his strong anti-American foreign policy stance and fierce criticism of Israel policy, leading conservatives to accuse him of being a "radical leftist" and hostile to Israel. James Tarariko's biggest controversy lies in his support for progressive issues (such as transgender rights, lenient immigration policies, and public education reform). Republicans have dug up his past remarks on gender and identity politics—"God is nonbinary."
