The U.S. State Department said the U.S. Treasury took action to dismantle today
a network of money exchangers and shell companies that helped Iran secretly move
hundreds of millions of dollars through the international financial system. The
network funneled oil revenues to Tehran and used front companies to launder
funds and evade sanctions aimed at curbing its destabilizing activities.
