At 13:00 Beijing time today Typhoon Dolphin's center was about 465 km ESE of
Wenzhou, Zhejiang, with near‑center winds of 45 m/s. Although the center remains
offshore, the typhoon's outer circulation has already generated convective
activity across southern Jiangsu, southeastern Anhui and Zhejiang this morning.
Rain will intensify ahead of and around landfall tomorrow; southern Jiangsu,
southeastern Anhui, most of Zhejiang and Shanghai are forecast to see heavy to
torrential rain, with southern Shanghai and eastern Zhejiang at risk of extreme
local 24‑hour totals of 400–500+ mm. Authorities warn of strong localized
extremes and advise precautions.
