The governor of the Central Bank of Iran stated that excessive borrowing by banks from the central bank and the creation of liquidity by banks are significant factors driving inflation. Over the past four to five months, excessive bank withdrawals have decreased to zero, and the central bank no longer permits banks to engage in such operations to slow the rate of inflation. This ban must be strictly enforced.
