Apple (AAPL.O) is considering a major redesign of the Apple Watch line to
address a shift toward screenless wearables and new form factors, Bloomberg’s
Mark Gurman reports. Apple’s industrial design team has spent about a year
researching concepts including screenless devices, alternative screen types,
different screen sizes and circular watch faces. No final plan has been chosen;
Apple is evaluating both a more premium model and a lower-priced option
positioned below the Apple Watch SE. The company expects upgraded AI and health
features to drive wearables growth.
