Phase I of the Bohai Zhong 19-6 gas field — the Bohai Sea’s first ~100 billion
cubic meter-class gas field and a key project in China’s national gas
production-storage-supply system — entered full production yesterday, delivering
oil-and-gas equivalent of more than 5,200 tons per day and outperforming
expectations. CNOOC Tianjin said Bohai oilfield’s focus on new-area capacity and
lean management of mature fields drove Phase I start-ups at Kenli 10-2 and other
hundred‑million‑ton-class fields; cumulative oil and gas output in 1H exceeded
21 mln tons, a record high, accelerating conversion of reserves into
production.
