China Satcom said the IMT‑2030 (6G) push group's satellite‑terrestrial
integration non‑terrestrial network (NTN) working group was formally established
in Beijing under guidance from the Ministry of Industry and Information
Technology's Department of Information and Communication Development, and China
Satcom was invited as a first‑batch member. The NTN group will lead and support
domestic organizations in developing international technical standards,
coordinate the overall layout of 6G satellite‑terrestrial networks, cultivate
core 6G satellite communications technologies, and promote
industry‑academia‑research‑user collaboration. Its remit covers satellite
air‑interface access, satellite terminal technology, satellite‑terrestrial
integrated network technology, and operations, maintenance and application
technologies.
