Former US Air Force secretary Frank Kendall, a Democrat who served under
President Biden, is accused of disclosing classified details about Air Force One
to reporters and has had his security clearance revoked. In a recent interview
Kendall said a Boeing 747 reportedly gifted by Qatar to current Republican
President Donald Trump has security shortcomings; he said he was "surprised" the
plane would be used outside the US, described the refit as rushed and questioned
whether security features had been "maximized." Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell
said on social media Kendall "unauthorized disclosed classified information"
about Air Force One’s capabilities, and that Kendall’s access to classified
information has been revoked and he is barred from sensitive positions.
