A fire broke out at a single-storey warehouse in Cheongbuk-eup, Pyeongtaek,
Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, at about 00:03 on Aug 11. The facility stored
Class 4 hazardous chemicals (flammable liquids), estimated at roughly 1.91 mln
liters across about 100 different substances. Authorities raised a level-2
emergency response and deployed 56 vehicles and 140 personnel to fight the
blaze. No casualties have been confirmed. Officials said they will investigate
the cause after the fire is brought under control.
