Maximum winds near the center 18 m/s, central pressure 998 hPa; radius of force‑7 winds 200–400 km. Canhong is moving west‑northwest at 25–30 km/h with little change in intensity, gradually approaching Japan’s eastern coast. At 17:00 Beijing time on Aug 10 Typhoon Pilu’s center was about 920 km northeast of Saipan (21.4°N, 151.6°E). Maximum winds near the center 20 m/s, central pressure 995 hPa; radius of force‑7 winds 160–180 km. Pilu is moving east‑northeast at 30–35 km/h with little change in intensity and is not expected to affect China.
