Strengthening Internal Model Release Oversight Within Companies Zuckerberg stated that Meta is adopting a new governance structure that empowers the company's board of directors to determine whether new models meet established safety standards, which will also be approved by the board. He wrote, "I don't believe it's in my best interest, Meta's, or the world's best interest to make me or anyone else the sole decision-maker on how superintelligence is deployed." He also called on other companies to adopt a similar structure and believes the entire industry should establish an "industry-wide unified version" of governance. 5.
