At midday closing, domestic futures contracts showed mixed results. Low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) and fuel oil rose over 6%, SC crude oil rose nearly 6%, coking coal rose over 5%, methanol and propylene rose over 4%, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and soda ash rose nearly 4%. On the downside, container shipping to Europe fell over 4%, eggs and pulp fell over 2%, urea, Shanghai tin, and offset paper fell over 1%, and platinum fell nearly 1%.
