Henan provincial development and reform commission said on Aug. 11 that, with
provincial government approval, it has issued a list of designating 78 sub-sectors
across four pillars—emerging pillar industries, future industries, traditional
advantaged industries and modern services—as priority targets for government
investment funds. The future industries category covers six areas: artificial
and embodied intelligence, hydrogen energy, bio-manufacturing, quantum
technologies, next-generation information networks and brain-like
intelligence/brain–computer interfaces, and specifically highlights investment
in humanoid robots, general-purpose large models, full-chain hydrogen
technologies, bio-breeding, quantum computing and 6G mobile communications.
