South Korea unveiled an ambitious seven-project technology strategy on Wednesday targeting nuclear energy, quantum computing, space, biotechnology and related advanced sectors to seek growth engines beyond semiconductors and AI. Key targets include commercial deployment of domestically developed small modular reactors by 2035, a lunar landing by 2030, a domestic 100‑qubit quantum computer by 2029, and commercial brain‑computer interface products by 2035.
