Hang Seng Index closed down 0.83% at 25,440.17 after an intraday low of
25,323.33, with trading largely below the flat line. Hang Seng Tech Index fell
0.99% to 4,776.44. Market turnover was HKD 216.78 bln, up from HKD 210.94 bln in
the prior session. Sector flow: computing hardware, storage chips and optical
communications outperformed; property names strengthened in the afternoon and
gold stocks recovered modestly. Technology names were the main drag on the
