Refinitiv quoted a senior Iranian source saying Iran and the US are not
discussing an extension of the ceasefire. The source said Iran views the
ceasefire as having no effective date and therefore no need for an extension,
and said the US breached the interim agreement 48 hours after it was reached and
withdrew a few days later. Current discussions focus on the US rejoining the
memorandum of understanding and agreeing a timeframe for the US to fulfill its
commitments.
