Hong Kong stocks closed mixed. The Hang Seng Index fell 0.17% to 25,396.51,
while the Hang Seng Tech Index pared an afternoon rally to close up 0.33 at
4,792.39 after briefly rising more than 1%. Market turnover was HKD 263.71 bln
(prev. session HKD 216.78 bln). Compute-infrastructure and semiconductor names
retreated in the afternoon; tech/internet stocks were mixed and nonferrous
metals came under clear pressure. Notable movers: Lenovo Group (00992.HK) jumped
20.18% on results, Cambridge Technology (06166.HK) +6.61%, Shengbang (03661.HK)
+9.54%; Tencent Holdings (00700.HK) weakened after earnings, down 4.46% and
briefly saw market capitalization dip below HKD 4 tln intraday. Aluminum Corp of
China (02600.HK) fell 6.21%.
