Guangdong Governor Meng Fanli met Fosun International chairman Guo Guangchang in
Guangzhou on Aug. 14. Guo said Fosun will align with Guangdong’s development
needs and leverage the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area’s openness and
innovation to expand cooperation and investment, prioritizing biomedicine,
international medical services and inbound medical tourism, tourism and
elderly-care industries, and accelerating collaboration on fund investment,
insurance and financial services to support Guangdong’s high-quality
development. Meng asked Fosun to deepen cooperation in pharmaceuticals, health
and eldercare, tourism and finance ahead of the 15th Five-Year Plan and said
Guangdong will provide a first-class business environment and industry ecosystem
to facilitate Fosun’s growth in the province.
