China will host the third APEC senior officials' meeting and related sessions in
Dalian, Liaoning, Aug. 17-28, as host of APEC 2026. Organizers say it will be
the largest senior officials' meeting to date, with roughly 130 sessions
covering trade, transport, food, customs, technology, energy, health, disaster
reduction and anti-corruption. About 2,300 delegates are expected from APEC
economies, the APEC Secretariat, the APEC Business Advisory Council and the
Pacific Economic Cooperation Council. The meeting aims to secure cooperation
outcomes across APEC mechanisms to prepare for the November leaders' meeting.
